Description

They were gone by the time I got into comics but I've always had a fondness of the old Marvel Masterwork Pin-Up's. Once I got into the continuing the Mighty Crusaders comics I thought it would be a cool idea to have a pin-up or two that could be dropped in along the way. As a way to tease upcoming covers/stories.

This one features The Argonaut! Only ever appearing unnamed on a single Archie cover his design was too cool to leave be. A Greco-Roman soldier type dropped in the present day? A perfect opportunity for some modern say monster hunter goodness! And soon to be featured as a part of Red Circle Spotlight.

Some very cool art from TJ. I love the Kirbyness to the pose and there's a very nice Simonson vibe to this as well. Just what the Argonaut needs! And on top of TJ's great art there is the classic color styling of Rob Shalda! Rob was kind enough to bring some old school tones to this one. Great, great stuff!
