Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II

Chris Schweizer advertised he was taking full figure commissions for a ridiculously low price, so I couldn't resist and got another piece from him (well, the first for me personally as the other piece he did was for my wife). He said he might throw in some extra detail or background if the commission was a historical figure (he really likes drawing real people from the past). I'm a falconer, so thought Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II, who wrote the first tretise on falconry in the western (eg European) tradition would be a good choice.

Chris got busy with actual paying work, so had to delay my commission for a couple months, but when he showed me the finished piece it was way beyond what I expected. Needless to say I'm quite pleased with the final result.
