DescriptionEven though I just recently read the great The Question serie by O’Neil and Cowan from the 80s, I always liked the character. The Ditko visuals are striking and his place in the DCU (on the edge) has always appealed to me.The later animated version of the character, crazy with conspiracy theories, which they embraced in the new 52 also did as did the passing of the mantle to Renee Montoya. A great character all around. I had my eyes on this splash for a long time then it sold. I was bummed. Then the buyer put it on ebay and I knew I couldn’t let it pass this time. So glad I did :) I love the pure pencil aspect which helps appreciate how great an artist Ivan Reis is. Plus the composition and distorted angle he chose helps underlining the chaotic frenzy mind of the Question here, tying the dots of the new 52 world in a way only he could. A great splash IMHO Social/Sharing |
