This is a 3D shadowbox paper sculpture of the DOBERMAN #5 cover by Bernard Change created for client Jeff Kline, Founder of Darby Pop Publishing.
Jeff saw my display at the SDCCI Art Show and ordered this 3D a few weeks ago. He sent me a digital file of the image of which I printed 20 copies oh heavy seim-gloss paper. The 3D took about 25 hours over several weeks and measures 10.5 x 7 inches and is about 5.5 inches deep.
This 3D was a little diferent in that I'm cutting along color separation areas rather than along black lines. That can be difficult in hazy areas like the smoke trail or very thin details like the helicopte explosion and strutts
