Flame of the West by Chris Rahn (From Tolkien's Lord of the Rings)

14x36, Oil on Masonite. Used as cover to Lord of the Rings LCG (card game) by Fantasy Flight Games - it is the Flame of the West expansion.

Eowyn vs the Nazgul was the subject of many paintings these last few years, especially with the Artorder challenge. I think Chris Rahn did an amazing job, perhaps my 2nd favorite of all time. Maybe this painting will grow on me even more - until then, Donato Giancola's depiction of that scene remains #1 (see Greg Obaugh's collection here on CAF!).
