Description

A fantastic if quiet page from the early days of New Mutants by Bob McLeod, a truly impeccable storyteller and solid artist.

On top of showcasing nearly the full cast and the solid draftsmanship, the storytelling is fantastic here. Like I said, it’s a quiet page but I really appreciate the body language of all the characters here, their body build and the uncertainty of their facial expressions, all of which is consistent with their age and teenage years if placed in dangerous situations. Their reaction to Danielle’s headache in panel 2 is pitch perfect for instance.

Very happy with this one as you can tell. Like I said, a quiet page but I simply love them if the storytelling is on this level.
