DescriptionThis original watercolor painting was used for the front panel of the McDonald's 1987 The Real Ghostbusters "Headquarters" Happy Meal box. The illustration depicts the four Ghostbusters fast asleep in the Firehouse. The colorful specters hovering above them, and their ectoplasmic residue, make up a matching game activity on the printed carton called "Bedtime Surprise."The Real Ghostbusters Happy Meal "toys" were in actuality school supplies for kids heading back to class, since the promotion took place in September. The prizes included a Stay Puft pencil sharpener, a Containment Chamber pencil case, a Real Ghostbusters pencil with a Slimer topper, a Stay Puft notepad with a No Ghosts logo eraser, and a Stay Puft notepad with a Real Ghostbusters ruler.
