Description

This is the regular commission I got from Sal alongside the sketch cards. It's a character from a series I got interested in because of Sal.

Katejina is one of the most infamous characters from the V Gundam series. She started out as a friend of Uso's, the main character, who objected to Uso piloting the Victory Gundam because she thought the adults were using him. Then, seven episodes in, she got kidnapped by Zanscare agents and started falling for Chronicle Asher after he saved her from being raped. Chronicle let Katejina work as his secretary, but during that period you couldn't exactly call her a villain even if she was on the enemy side. She bluffed at one point she was secretly working as a double agent but that was a lie. It wasn't until around episode 26 that her decent into villainy began when she adopted a Zanscare military uniform. After that point she became a Gundam pilot and regularly battled Uso, gradually becoming more violent and insane and loathing Uso. To put it into appropriate context: Katejina survives the series but by its end she's a blind, brain-damaged amnesiac beggar woman, because the show's creator felt killing her to punish her for everybody she hurt and killed would've been too lenient.

Most fan art tends to depict Katejina at the height of her depravity, such as you see in the picture. The knife she's got with her was used during an attempt to kill Uso by pretending she was sorry for everything she'd did, and when he got close enough she stabbed him.

The quote she's saying is actually from the 90s Sailor Moon dub, but I thought it'd be appropriate as an in-joke between me and Sal.
