Description
With one exception every piece of comic art that I own is Legion related. That one piece is a beautiful Scarlet Witch page from my very first Avengers story where she fought Attuma ( Issue 26). So, as a kid, seeing her finally getting the spotlight in Marvel Team Up, was a real treat and I snatched that issue from the spinning rack in a heartbeat. That issue was the beginning of a very cool story-line .

Because that cover is special to me, it was a no-brainer that I would have it homaged in the " Infinite Timelines " event. The closest Legion characters that have similar powers to Wanda are The White Witch ( obvious ) and a less obvious counterpart, the rejected Legion applicant called Calamity King. Both of their powers increased the odds of "bad" things happening to their foes at the most advantageous of times for their respectives teams.

So with the amazing pencils and inks of the ever talented Mr Joseph Mackie ( who I HIGHLY recommend for your commissions ). I present to you, A Pulsar Stargrave mind-controlled, Calamity King Vs Gravity Kid . There are NO WINNERS HERE, except the equally talented Russ Payne who did a great job on the graphics.

Welcome to "Gravity Falls"

Enjoy
Aidan

Wonderful work from Mackie! So often he's only used for his cheesecake work and it's nice to see him in a position to go full awesome. Great choices all around here Aidan :)

and PULSAR STARGRAVE!!!

He is SO much more than that. Next week we have more Pulsar Stargrave and more Mackie. I promise you that some of his strongest work has yet to be seen in this event.

I never thought about the similarities between Scarlet Witch and Calamity King's powers before, but you definitely have a point there! Anyway, excellent work from Mackie and Payne!

Would Calamity Kid win against Karate Kid not because he was a better fighter but because in the match-up Val couldn't do anything right ?

Thank you. Joe Mackie is doing some sweet work for me now with a series of pieces featuring, Pete Ross and the other Honorary & Reserve Legionnaires. His artistic style, has a sweet Silver Age vibe to it. This one was done 2 years ago but was well worth the wait.

It blows my mind that you have the patience to wait two years to post some of these or most of these wonderful pieces of art!

Love these faces. Mr. Mackie has wonderfully captured Stargrave's evil, Calamity King's reluctance, and Gravity Kid's pain.
