Treasure Planet's Capt Flint by John Pomeroy circa 2002

      Animator John Pomeroy was very nice to my friend Karen and me at WonderCon years ago. This drawing was won in an online auction. This is the auction description:


      This impressive animation character design drawing of Captain Nathaniel Flint was created by Disney artist John Pomeroy in development of the character in the animated feature. The non-human space pirate is displayed in all his multi-eyed, fanged glory. He appears briefly in the film, yet his role is pivotal; his interstellar piracy brought him the vast fortune that is concealed on Treasure Planet and sparks the voyage of discovery that Captain Amelia, Mr. Arrow, John Silver and Jim Hawkins take aboard the RLS Legacy.


      Mr. Pomeroy was the supervising animator of Captain Flint and his pirate crew, and his work was instrumental in the design of the characters.
