Description

This is a pinup piece featuring the Heralds of Galactus The Silver Surfer and Nova which I commissioned directly from Mr Wyman (we had an art exchange ^_^). Now for all those who do not know after Mr Wyman worked on Ex-Mutants and Ape Nation he did some work for Marvel including a brief stint on the Silver Surfer in the early 90's. This happened to be my favorite S.S. story plot ("The Herald Ordeal" storyline), where Nova follows in the steps of the Silver Surfer and defies Galactus to save life. Galactus being the celestial grump he is disbars Nova to find a ruthless executioner to not defy his will (Morg), which of course he does anyways. The past Heralds all get together to kick Morgs butt but ends in the death of Nova. It was impacting good vs evil storytelling to me at the time and still very memorable and fun (which to a kid should be what comics should be all about ^_^). Even the villain Terrax helped out! Mr. Wyman filled in for half the issues while Ron Lim was working on other projects like the Infinity War. He did a great job on the piece creating an exciting scene embodying the Surfer and Nova ^_^ I love it!
