Description

Originale a colori di Sergio Toppi facente parte di una serie di 12 illustrazioni ispirate alla poesia di Robert Louis Stevenson "Ticonderoga: A Legend of the West Highlands".
Il poema, pubblicato per la prima volta nel 1887 ed ispirato ad una leggenda delle highlands scozzesi, dopo essersi sviluppato toccando tutte le guerre ed i popoli d’Europa e d’Asia, arriva a raccontare della battaglia avvenuta presso il forte Ticonderoga nel luglio 1759, scontro avvenuto durante la Guerra franco-indiana (1754-1763), dove il protagonista della storia troverà la morte.

La tavola è stata pubblicata sull'omonimo libro pubblicato dall'editore Nuages nel 2002 e nel 2006 nel Portfolio "Ticonderoga" di Edizioni Crapapelada.
