Description

Phantom of the Auditorium was the 24th entry in the Goosebumps franchise. The story was about a middle school putting on a production of a play called "The Phantom." The play was supposedly cursed after the boy who was going to star in the original production back in the 1920s disappeared before opening night.

Two kids start to investigate when strange incidents occur around the auditorium, thinking it's the ghost of the missing kid. Initially, it turned out to be misdirection from a derelict who'd been living in the school's basement and was afraid his living space would be found... then came opening night, when the real Phantom appeared.

This is based on the UK cover artwork, which did a better job of conveying the Phantom's crazy mask than the Tim Jacobus artwork did.
