Description

Dave wanted to draw some "Progressive inspiration" portraits after the 2016 election. As he explained on his site: I need to do something. I need to get this sadness and frustration out in response to the results of this election. So here’s one way I’m going to try and do that, and hopefully do some good at the same time.

I will draw your choice of inspirational progressive person from history or today. (Strong women are especially encouraged.) Or choose an endangered animal of North America (list: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_endangered_species_in_North_America) Come to me with your ideas and I’ll choose at my discretion. Here’s a few ideas to show you where I’m going: Hillary, Bernie, Obama, Elizabeth Warren, Cesar Chavez, Harvey Milk, Muhammed Ali, Cornell West, Toni Morrison, Langston Hughes, Amelia Earhart, Susan B Anthony, Eleanor Roosevelt, etc and so on. You see where I’m going with this.
