Description

Unfortunately another fade issue on a George Wilson Cover Painting. The fade can be seen on the grass no longer being green, the arrow has lost its blue color of its feather piece(fletch), and the original background was a light blue sky that is now just white, along with other fades. It is still a wonderful piece but we are losing these pieces to light over the years. This is an interesting example of how fades works; you can see in an earlier picture of the original art some of the colors were still there. Now they have faded more. It just makes me sad to see the vibrant colors go away forever. I still love this painting.

I will of course take this down if the owner wishes for me to. I just want everybody to protect these priceless items we have been left in charge of. I don't mean to lecture. It is still an incredible piece!!!!

Addendum: Piece sold on Heritage May 20, 2017 for almost $2,500.00. So fade is not an issue, it would seem. That is all.
