Fantastic Bachalo piece, Duke!  Dripping with the strong sense of design (plus that -unmistakable- dash of anarchic glee) that is such a signature element(s) in Chris's work... Amazing!  I love how the bad guys are solid black or empty white outlines to allow the heroes to pop with life and texture (torn costumes, flying dirt clods, splashes of blood), to say nothing of the "X" shape of the image...  My eye starts on Wolverine's head, then springs up to the right (thanks to the wings) and heads down and to the left, popping back up to Warpath, then down and to the right to follow the logo into the bottom corner.  Perfect, PERFECT flow.

And, of course, another key component to the brilliance of the cover is, without question, the INCREDIBLE inking of Tim Townsend.  Adding weight, pow, oomph, and boom, no one seems to crack the code or unlock the potential of a Bachalo image like Tim can. With their bold, thick-lined outline and incredibly textured fine details within (a technique Chris and Tim use to such great effect that one could argue at times that Bachalo and Townsend are the warped mirror twins (or equally mesmerizing opposites?) of Immonen and von Grawbadger...?), Wolverine and Warpath are the stars of the show... but there's just so much incredible, intentional touch and detail bestowed on -everything-, at all levels...  Such a masterful design and execution.  Phenomenal piece, Duke!  Mega-congrats!
