Description
From the early days of strip art comes this dandy of a strip -- the Hall-Room Boys, by Harold MacGill, published in 1915. MacGill was an early comic strip pioneer, who began creating strip art in the U.S. in 1904 (he was Canadian born). His most famous strip was this one - the Hall-Room Boys, which began running in 1906 and continued until 1921 (under a different name: Percy and Ferdie). The Hall-Room Boys was collected into a book in 1921, and inspired a series of silent films. Strange how these old strips, once a household name, disappeared into obscurity. I love finding these ones from the early days. . .
