Description

I found the perfect piece for display in my new baby girl's room. It combines my love of comic art and my wife's affinity for Alice. Honestly it was the only way to get some comic art in the baby's room. Ha! Still as a cover it rocks and is very aesthetically pleasing showing a host of the story's main characters. The open book and ribbon appear to be original paste ups. Everything else is drawn in.

I picked it up at the bi annual comic art show in north Jersey from the awesome Frank Giella. A great deal from a great guy. It took a good few months but in this hobby it usually is a waiting game.

Sweet bronze age cover with a great Alice drawing and a trippy layout! Also love those registration marks. "I got it for my kid." Right.

I always loved Marvel Classic Comics but haven't seen very many covers from the series--Until now! This is a gorgeous cover by Frank Bolle to Alice in Wonderland! Frank never got as much attention as he deserved, but he was a powerhouse penciler and inker. You can see the strength of his work on this cover. It's beautifully composed, with Alice in the center as she falls down the rabbit hole and other characters from the book swirling around her. I especially love that Cheshire Cat and White Rabbit. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
