Black Panther by R.M.Guera

A splendid Black Panther commission by R.M. (of Scalped fame) Guera.

I had contacted Mr Guera for a private commission ahead of his appearance in the 2016 Facts edition as I absolutely love his art and think he is an incredible and splendid storyteller.

I toyed with a subject idea as I know he’s not too fond of your usual super heroes and I already own several scalped pieces. I proposed a BP in jungle settings and he was all for it.

The result speaks for itself and I am quite pleased with it. Mr Guera was his usual very friendly which made the experience much more pleasing than your usual giving money to an artist you love.

The jungle setting is splendid here and I love how the leaves reflect on BP. The fact that he water colored the figure really makes it pop in the pen ink backgrounds.

To thank him in a way for his kindness, I gave him more work during the show and commissioned him for a Man-Thing which you can see in this very gallery.
