Description

For yet another "theme" project, I decided I wanted full figure painted pieces of my favorite Justice League members to a wall in my home. I've commissioned Daniel for a number of pieces, standalone and jams, but the first one he did for me has always stood out in my mind.

A little jam contribution of Aquaman looking like the King of Atlantis and not just a fish whisperer! So when this project came to be with a prior Batman and Wonder Woman contribution, well I had to go to Daniel for a full figure Aquaman. I asked for Aquaman underwater with a beard (I prefer that look) and sea life around him.

Wow, did he deliver! I can't imagine a more definitive version of Aquaman for my collection than this one! The gold leaf paint details on the armor, the war horn, the battle cry, and the narwhals charging (did I say narwhals? Daniel had the genius idea of incorporating narwhals in the scene, whereas all I could think of was the trope of Aquaman with sharks)!

DC take note.

This IS the King of Atlantis.

Yeah- you'll never find a better Aquaman than THIS. I've never been an Aquaman fan, but I'd buy a series with Govar on art!
