DescriptionThe two characters, Mopey Dick and the Duke, remain Denys Wortman's most well known reoccurring ones, and rightfully so, as they were an important voice of the every man during the Depression. This Metropolitan Movies panel is post Depression-era, dated March 15, 1944, and features Mopey trying to figure out his taxes, with the Duke lending a hand, so to speak. The Duke says, "Don't worry, Mopey, if you make a mistake. All they can do is fine you a million dollars. They can't put you in jail. All the jails would be full."Social/Sharing |
