I finally own a Tomb of Dracula page.

ToD is to me the very best work of Gene Colan who was superbly inked by Palmer. A true match made in heaven.

The page also comes from what I consider the best part of their run as I find the first third or quarter had them finding their ground of the title before clicking and soaring to the artistic masterpiece it is.

No Drac on this page but lots of characters and a nice bit of architecture. The body language of each character conversing is excellent and changes from panel to panel. The first panel is amazing but it really is the third that prompted me to buy the page. That face is simply gorgeous and the lightning on it really makes it pop. Plus…zip a tone!

I hesitated long and hard to buy this one that was on ebay forever as I thought it was slightly over priced. Recent results proved me wrong as it seems it was rightly priced if not a bit under market value.

Now if I could find a nice example with Dracula…
