Description

Ever heard of a holy grail you never knew you had? Neither had I until this popped up. It's the cover to the 1986 Transformers The Movie VHS Box Art which I owned as a kid. That in and of itself make's it very unique and a nostalgic score.

But, what makes it even more special is it was originally used as concept art for the movie, done in house in 1985, by the film's in house art department led by Floro Dery. Virtually 95% of all animation cels, storyboards, and concept artwork for that film have been destroyed.(Mr. Dery still has most his art though I believe.) A treasure trove of authentic concept art appeared on Ebay recently, with this being the crown jewel of the lot. It's a big 12x24 inches. An auction for comic art hasnt made me sweat like this in a long time. So happy to have it!
