Description

The first published page that I ever bought. I had just finished reading 100 Bullets for the first time and the artist, Eduardo Risso, just happened to be making a rare appearance at SDCC that year. I was originally just going to get a sketch until his son told me that Eduardo would do a free sketch for anyone who bought any original art. How could anyone say no to that?

I went through his portfolios a couple of times and this is the page that grabbed me. My two favorite characters and the infamous attache from the series were all there. Also, growing up, I played basketball at various parks at least once a week so the inclusion of Rucker Park was huge. I've never been there but the "Basketball Mecca" is a legendary place for street ballers. The training ground for some of basketball's GOATs and the birthplace of the And1 movement. IYKYK
