SOLD IN NOV. 2017 FOR $973!

10.75x16.25" thin artboard features artist Carmine Infantino's original art for page 9 of the Sept. 1967 issue of "Detective Comics" #367 (the classic Silver Age issue w/the puzzle cover), published by DC Comics. Art is for "Where There's A Will - There's A Slay!" story by Gardner Fox. Infantino is known for his work helping establish the Silver Age of DC Comics, and in 1964, Infantino helped breathe new life in the Batman titles, jettisoning the sillier aspects that had crept into the series (such as Ace the Bathound, and Bat-Mite) and giving the "New Look" Batman and Robin a more detective-oriented direction and sleeker draftsmanship that proved a hit combination. Art features five panels, w/Robin pulling switch and being shot at and hit by electric ray gun. Second to last panel features Bruce Wayne receiving message from the villain Hastings. Robin appears in three panels (and a fourth as a blurry outline) while Bruce Wayne appears in one. Page has been inked by Sid Greene. Top and bottom margins each have two hole punches and margins have production notations w/handwritten title and inked issue/page number at top. Art remains Exc.
