Agree that you have to see a Mac Raboy original in person to appreciate the great effort.I owned a Sunday once and used to stare at for long periods of time.Your example is lovely.

I've been a Flash Gordon fan since that awful (but nostalgic) 80s film. This is an amazing Sunday. Blowing it up and looking more closely the details are impressive and what came straight to mind is that Raboy while having influenced a lot of artists - looks to have possibly been an influence to Gary Frank. At least from the work on this page. Personally love the 1st panel and all the ships. just great sci-fi fodder!
