American Born Chinese, Faith Erin Hick’s
Friends With Boys, and Vera Brosgal’s
Anya’s Ghost. I liked all those books so I gave this book a try. This 2017 release is covered by this Library School Journal article
Graphic Novels Portray Bicultural America. The protagonist Priyanka grows up in America with her mother who left India as a young woman. The teenager wonders about the country her mother left behind and the truth about her father. Nidhi appearred at
Trickster in Berkeley, CA on October 14, 2017.
Anita Coulter held another fun event. Nidhi is featured in an exhibit at the
new Cartoon Art Museum location. She will also be included in an exhibit of
First Second Books: A Graphic Revolution at the San Francisco Public Library.
