DescriptionFrom Peter David and George Perez's Sachs and Violens , the four-part mini-series features model Juanita J.J. Sachs and Vietnam war photographer Ernie Violens Schultz. In many ways ahead of its time (it was published 1993-1994), David's story explored themes uncommon in mainstream comics of the day... when Sachs' friend is murdered in a snuff film, she enlists Violens in a quest for answers... and justice. As the title suggests, the story deals with sex and violence. The entire four-part series was published under Marvel Comic's Epic imprint and was later reprinted in a collected paperback volume by DC Comics (in 2006).This is an original page from the last issue of the series (#4). Signed by both David and Perez, the page features the original artwork of Perez with inks by either Arne Starr or Art Nicholls (both are credited with inking the book but I cannot determine which did this particular page) Social/Sharing |
