DescriptionA fantastically moody page from the Avengers vs X-Men crossover by Olivier Coipel and Mark Morales.What pushed to buy the page was the K’Un-Lun settings. I absolutely love the ancient hidden Asian city vibe that Olivier perfectly conveyed on this page. Shadows! Hand-held torch! Hidden rooms! Secret hidden book that is forbidden to read! Spider’s webs! And the presence of Lei-Kung, the ultimate K’Un-Lun badass was a strong incentive as well. And the creepy old guy with the eyes in is hands (how practical) adds a nice Yoda vibe to the page. This could have been a scene from Big trouble in little China is the mood was not so ominous (which I prefer). You really can feel the importance of having to read the secret tome here even without words (which is a proof of great storytelling). Anyway, just the usual splendid work by Coipel & Morales.
