DescriptionSOLD AT AUCTION FOR $1,966!7.25x22" thin artboard w/India ink and watercolor original art by "Terry And The Pirates" creator Milton Caniff. Art is for Dec. 21, 1935 and features four panels, w/Terry talking to Connie about his feeling something is off w/Pat, before going to talk to Pat to ask what's wrong. All three are aboard Chinese style ship and blue watercoloring indicates nighttime scene. Caniff has signed last panel, which also has Chicago Tribune/NY News Syndicate copyright strip. Top left has inked "Terry" name at left margin and inked "Right Or Wrong - They Stick" title at right. Bottom margin has inked note about screen tint and has glue staining along majority of bottom, only slightly affecting bottom of first panel. Back has Tribune Engravers Room and rush notice inkstamps. Scattered dust soiling/aging w/single pin hole at top corners. Artboard is Fine/VF while art remains clean and VF/Exc.
