Dr. Doom Iron Man #128 Cover Recreation by Bob Layton

I asked Bob to recreate his famous Iron Man #128 cover using Dr. Doom instead of Tony Stark. Bob happily obliged however he told me he wasn't sure how Victor Von Doom looked without his mask. I mentioned a couple different references including Kirby's original vision of him with just a small scar, John Byrne's reference about a burned face and then of course the movie references (which I didn't care for either). Bob said he always leans towards Kirby which was perfect because it turned out fantastic! When it was done, I was more than pleased with how it turned out but then I asked Bob, "just wondering why you didn't include the whiskey bottle" and his response was perfect..."Victor isn't an alcoholic so it wouldn't make any f**king sense!" hahaha
