Description

Aaron Lopresti drew a DC Future Quest comic book variant cover and I managed to get the cover comps and an Igoo and Zok commission two years ago. He recently announced on Facebook that he was drawing a DC Future Quest Presents story arc featuring The Herculoids. So I caught up to Aaron on Thursday at Emerald City Comicon and acquired three more cover comps drawn for his editors. This is sketch C for his first issue. I didn't care about the new villain which features prominently in the other three comps. This one was all Herculoids (minus Tundro) and the three humanoids. I liked the segmented cover as it reminded me of the old Gold Key Super TV Heroes from the time I was a kid watching the Herculoids cartoon on its first run in 1967. Alex Toth created and designed the show for Hanna-Barbera. Aaron describes the Future Quest Presents #9 cover sketches, villain design, cover pencils, inks, and colors on his blog.
