DescriptionThis is the first page I drew new for the indy series after the original Ultra Klutz and Other Tales zines were reprinted. Now I've jumped to 11X17 bristol, which I had printed with layout tics, tile block and even company phone number(!) in non-photo blue ink. Rough non-photo blue penciled and then straight to ink. Also now using non-photo blue felt tip for lettering for better contrast. All Rapidiograph nibs for ink, before I started using a brush. The black background is a huge slab of Chartpack color (stickybacked like shading film) which I also used on the early covers, with liquid paper stippled stars. This was a full bleed originally, but white taped and reduced more to accommodate the phone book reprint Book One. The original inked title logo was an exact copy of Crisis on Infinite Earths logo. I used it in a promo flyer and got a cease and desist letter from DC, so I changed it before this went to press (note the typesetting paste up).Social/Sharing |
