SOLD AT AUCTION FOR $3,958!

14.75x21-3/8" stiff sheet of artpaper has pen and ink original art for wrap-around cover to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection" Vol. 5, released by IDW in 2013. Art features both back and front cover images for this collection that reprinted the "City At War" storyline, concluding the Eastman & Laird era of TMNT. Both front and back cover images feature all four Turtles w/their signature weapons drawn, surrounded by members of The Foot. Bottom center has "No. 5 - Eastman - 2013" notation by the artist, Kevin Eastman, co-creator of TMNT. Bottom margin has handwritten "Back Cover/Front Cover" notations as well as measurements and "Ultimate Collection #5" title. Art has a few white speckle accents as added by Eastman and margins show his typical ink spatter. Back has two attached photocopy sheets w/Eastman's rough layouts for the cover. Pin holes at left corners and left/right center margins. Center left margin has .5" margin tear w/tape repair. Center right margin has .75" tear that extends ever so slightly into art and 1" tear below this, neither is overly distracting. If matted and framed, art would display Exc. Comes w/envelope w/"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Time Capsule" label w/handwritten "IDW Ultimate Collection #5 Wrap Cover" notation. This contains letter from Eastman thanking fan for support. Eastman has signed in black ink. Letter comes w/photo print of cover to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" #1, which Eastman has signed in silver paint pen and added Turtle sketch. Last item is "Mirage Studios" replica press pack w/copies of original TMNT sketch, poster art and ads. All are Exc. A must for TMNT fans.
