Description

Giuseppe Palumbo is one of my favorite italian artists, I love his black and white/pen and ink works ( Diabolik) and his works in colors ( Ramarro: seconda pelle). In black and white he perfectly masters an elegant and sinuous line, in his very rare works in colors he use a mixed technique that catches the eye with a beautiful mélange of watercolors and colored markers. This great illustration was realized by the artist in 1992 for the portfolio " I volti segreti di Martin Mystere" edited by " lo Scarabeo" ( Turin), is 16 x 33 cm in a board 24 x 35 cm. The art represents Martin Mystere and Java the Neanderthal man ( M. Mystere is a character edited by Bonelli) in one investigation in Matera, a very beautiful and suggestive italian location famous for its architecture and for the " stones"of its historic centre. As suggested me by Davide G. this illustration in the same year 1992 has been used also as cover for "Kaos magazine" n. 7 (Granata press).

This beautiful illustration has been used also as a cover for the magazine Kaos #7 (Granata Press, Summer 1992). Me too I'm a great admirer of Palumbo! :)
