I'm very glad to add another piece by Massimo to my collection!
Not just comic artist, but even painter and illustrator, Rotundo (Rome, 1955) is also a brilliant storyboard/concept artist and costume designer. Not by chance he worked for acclaimed movie and theater stars, like Martin Scorsese (Gangs of New York), Paul Verhoeven (Crusade), Julie Taymor (Titus) and Milena Canonero, just to name a few.

This is one of the 3 different paintings he created as a cover for the first issue of the limited series "Volto Nascosto" (Hidden Face), edited in Italy by Bonelli from Oct 2007 to Nov 2008 (14 monthly issues; all the covers have been painted by Rotundo, who has entirely drawn issues #2 and #14).
The 3 paintings slightly differ in terms of image, but the colors totally change from one to another, since the artist and the editor were searching the best and more attractive color effect for the cover.
