Description

For some reason, I've always loved this story arc! So happy I was able to get this in auction yesterday! The splash and the cover are pretty much the same.

Last 40-cent issue. Cover pencils by Don Heck, inks by Dick Giordano. The Day It Rained Flash, script by Cary Bates, pencils by Don Heck, inks by Frank Chiaramonte; The new Dr. Alchemy (with proverbial origin story) turns Flash into a cloud.

Synopsis for "The Day it Rained Flash!"
Dr. Alchemy explains to the captive Al Desmond that both of them are astral twins, born at the same moment, but that Alchemy was conversely forced to be evil when Al Desmond reformed. Now, Alchemy intends to destroy the Flash by using the Philosopher's Stone to turn him into a cloud.
