DescriptionThis piece is a dream come true for me! I have always wanted a nice painting by Julie Bell, and have eyed many Marvel Masterpiece paintings that I came across but they were seldom available or affordable. This beauty I owe to my buddy Eric Callen, who sent me a link to it like we always do when we see something we know the other will like and appreciate. I encouraged him to get it, but paintings are more my thing than his, so he gracefully bowed out and let me get it and I couldn't be happier! Getting a Wildstorm painting by Julie Bell would be awesome enough, but a Gen13 cover with everyone in action is just too incredible for words! Thanks again, E!As for the piece itself, it measures 27x17 inches, and is done in her traditional oil on board. This is actually the cover to the first novel they did for the popular title. (I believe they did 3 novels) I found that weird that a comic would be turned into a prose novel, but it gave us this incredible cover image, so who can complain lol. I can't wait to get this thing framed and on the wall! UPDATE 6/13/2018: The piece arrived fully framed with museum glass, so it went right up onto the wall and I added a pic of it with me, to show scale. :) Social/Sharing |

Ever since Julie Bell participated in the painted super heroes art sub-genre, I've always looked forward to her take on my favorite characters and this one of the Gen13 crew stunned me then and still stuns me now.
