An anthology comic best known for Ron Turner's Space Ace, this is the last page of a stand-alone 4-page story from issue 7 (February 1961) called "The Gift", illustrated by Pat Williams (My Chum Yum Yum, Avengers (yes, ma'am: the Steed & Mrs Peel variety), Dr Who).

Aliens assist human astronauts crashed landed on a far-flung planet - but why?

In the much more pleasant world of the story, aliens thought Laika -- the Russian dog fired off into space on a one-way mission and who died, alone and scared, of heat exhaustion after equipment malfunction before she could starve to death -- was a gift to them, which they obviously cherished.
