Description

This Phoenix drawing is by the amazing Craig Hamilton-( check out his CAF gallery-beautiful artwork!!!)..lush in style & draftsmanship, awesome pencil work -Great!. This and the Dejah Thoris drawing were gifts,thanks Craig, you are a good friend........... but Craig wants me to ink one, so I think I'll ink this on an overlay-( the pencils are just too beautiful not to have a life of their own--hopefully it can be done in time for the "Heroes Art Auction")........Buzz rescanned the art, made it darker,.....looks much better, damn his Kung Fu is good!

Hamilton rocks!! One of the few who can make heavy crosshatches work well. Real strong pencil lines.

As much as I love Craig's color pieces, there is a beautiful simplicity to his line work in pencil pieces. Just amazing!

i try to do a piece every year for the heroes art auction. at the end of the con they have 5 BIG high dollar pieces. back in 2001 my star-wars collage was one of the "big ones". it was adam hughes,david mack,brian stelfreeze,mike wieringo,and myself. that was pretty nice company to be in,and all the cash goes to charity.
