Rocky Balboa by Jim Rugg

I’d thought about a Jim Rugg piece for a while after being jealous of some of Shannon Slayton’s pieces. He took pre-con commissions for Heroes and I couldn’t help but to think he would deliver a dynamite Rocky piece. I love this, the composition with battered Rocky in the foreground and the banner in the back is just a killer. It feels like the 70s and it feels like the first film in the series. He just murdered this piece. I love it. Huge thanks to Shannon for making this happen!
