Description
Time for a step back into the Golden Age of comics as we take a look at Marvel/Timely's World War II freedom fighter, Citizen V! Citizen V had an underground network throughout Europe that he called the V-Batallion. It was through this network that he helped victims of Nazi aggression fight back against their oppressors. Here, he goes to France and helps the resistance stick it to the Third Reich!

This is a Heroes Redrawn TWO-PARTER! The original pages of art are by Citizen V's creator, the late, great Ben Thompson. The contemporary, redrawn version is by the talented Josh Hood. Josh's body of work includes stints on such titles as JLA, the Flash, and Green Goblin. He did a stellar job here.

Don't forget to check out PAGE TWO as well.

Alas, he didn't live too long after that.  He died before the end of the war, strangled to death by Baron Zemo.

I love V in that top right panel and in the one where's he's got his hand raised.  Very cool stuff!
