Beginning life in underground classic Death Rattle, Xenozoic Tales was the brainchild of Marc Schultz, a fan of the pulpy exploits of Robert E. Howard and Edgar Rice Burroughs, as well as the house artists over at EC Comics. The series ran for almost a decade, and then found new life when reprinted by Marvel under the moniker, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, this cover from issue #13 is deeply reminiscent of Golden Age sci-fi books, and the masterfully rendered art pays loving homage to the one and only Frank Frazetta, truly an impressive piece of comic art that transcends the ages.
