DescriptionThis is the artwork to the first Hellboy promo poster that Darkhorse printed in 1993.This piece was also recently re-printed in the Hellboy Library Edition Volume 1. In that book, Mignola talks about how this is first time he drew HB with the trench coat. Notice how the right hand of doom isn't so big yet. I really love these early HB pieces. In the 4 or 5 early, 1993 HB pieces I've seen, you really see how the character is slowly starting to be fleshed out. What a great artist and character this is. The Mignola Trifecta!! This is an epic image of Hellboy - stunning background, and a perfect piece to go with the others! Three different publishers and all Mignola beauty!
