Description

As close to the real thing that it can get, Herb Trimpe did a wonderful recreation of this ultra-powerful, ultra-cool, Hulk cover some years ago. It's been around quite a few times, but now, after many twists and turns, I finally managed to add it to my collection.

Oh! And I forgot to mention that this is one of my two absolutely favorite Herb Trimpe covers ever (in case you wonder, the other one is Shield 13, but that's another story...). It's always difficult to explain, but I think Herb Trimpe managed a very unique trick with the character: he managed to render the Hulk larger than the page!

Anyway, this is one cover that blew me away first time I saw it and it still gives me shivers today. While there is an obvious link to Jack Kirby's FF 61 cover (published a couple of years before this one), the sense of sheer power here is just unbeatable!

Shivers, I tell you...
