I feel extremely fortunate to be able to procure this page from a fellow CAF member. Very responsible and friendly seller that made the transaction such a joy.

I've always wanted a Mcfarlane OA and finally got this, my first one!

Getting a page from Hulk #330 is significant in that this is THE comic issue that marked Todd McFarlane's grand entrance into the Marvel mainstream and rise to superstardom, after some filler work for various titles. This is drawn by the man who would soon go on to reinvent and redefine Spider-Man!

Why I bought this OA:

A name that hardly needs any introduction. Mcfarlane's work on Amazing Spider-man starting from #298 caught my attention when I was in my early teens. I went, wow, this is really good art! Subsequently, I found I had a few of his Hulk comics, which I had bought because of the Fall of Mutants tie-in (#340) anyone. I was hooked on his work, placing him up there with my other favourite artists John Byrne and George Perez at that time. The dynamism and details he brought to his pencils made him a firm favourite. His rise as a superstar from his seminal work on Spider-Man before forming Image with a few of his friends and his popular work on Spawn sealed his status as a legend. Mcfarlane's OA is now extremely scarce (and expensive!). I feel fortunate to own at least one.
