Description

Mickey's Christmas Carol Scrooge McDuck Production Cel Signed by Carl Barks with Custom Background (Walt Disney, 1983). "Why was I so foolish, why? Why?" asks Ebenezer Scrooge, right before he meets Willie the Giant, the Ghost of Christmas Present. This is an outstanding 16 field hand-painted production cel of Scrooge in bed from this scene. It can be seen around the 13:47 mark.

This film was released on 12/16/83 and brought Mickey Mouse back to the big screen! It was nominated for an Academy Award.

Great image of Uncle Scrooge measuring 4", with his bed blanket all painted on cel. The cel has a custom background made for resonation purposes. Disney seal is on the cel and Disney COA on the reverse.

The cel is hand-signed by the creator of Uncle Scrooge McDuck, Mr. Carl Barks (1901 - 2000). Framed with glass for an overall size of 22" x 22" with a mat opening of 14" x 11". Carl Barks did several cel signings for Walt Disney Art Classics in the late 1990s. Cel and signature condition is Very Good.
