I love this "Sand Doom" story and am glad to construct a 2 pg sequence by adding this page to my collection. The comic artform is all about creating graphic narrative, and Al was one of the masters at pacing a dramatic story with his panel progression.

This story is reminiscent of Raiders of the Lost Ark (or vice versa), and of course Williamson has always excelled at desert and jungle adventures. The Warren platform gave artists freedom to express themselves through their creative talent. In this story we clearly witness an artist in top form.

I'm not an artist, but I can tell that this page has so much going for it with regard to technique and method and every panel is a treat for the eyes. I can stare at this page for hours!

A fantastic 2 page sequence! Al always seemed to know just how much ink to use and how thick or hin the lines should be. And letter perfect anatomy. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.
