Description

Eliza, a young witch whose mother died too soon, made it to Willowbrook, her grandmother's home town, on foot. She meet three young people, fights off a monster, and makes it to her grandmother's home. There's more to the story, but that's enough for now.

I picked this piece up as a Kickstarter perk for Willowbrook by Emma Kubert, daughter of Andy, granddaughter of Joe. Though she's done other work (even though she's still at the Kubert School, I haven't seen any, but I thought the book sounded promising and I liked what I saw of her art.

I'm really glad I supported the book. It's cute and interesting. The dialog needs work, but the art is quite attractive and the overall story seems interesting. I hope more books are forthcoming.

I do kinda wish I'd gone larger, but this is pretty sweet.
