Carol Danvers Captain Marvel by Aaron Lopresti, Seattle 2019

      Aaron Lopresti was set up at Emerald City Comic Con in Artist Alley. I often find some strong preliminary drawings from his portfolio offerings. This year, I only found an Uncle Sam which appealed to me. On Saturday, I came by to see Aaron slipping a Captain America drawing into the portfolio. I was trying to conserve, but asked Aaron about an idea I had since seeing the Captain Marvel movie commercial showing Brie Larson in her USAF flight suit. I used to go to air shows and remembered the excitement watching the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds pilots walking out to their planes before a performance. This drawing captures that feeling.
